Meet Lucy Hartman, our Marketing Intern at Novella! Lucy plays a pivotal role in providing our team with thorough research, meticulous data collection, and insightful perspectives on all aspects of marketing for our clients.
Get to know a little more about Lucy!
What concert would you drop everything to see? I would not consider myself a die-hard “Swifite” but after seeing Taylor Swift in concert last summer I would drop everything to see her in concert again. Something about growing up with an artist and getting to relive songs I listened to 10 years ago made the show extra special. She is also an amazing performer.
What’s the “go-to” meal that you cook at home the most?
Lemon Chicken pasta.
What TV show or movie have you watched over and over and why?
A show that I watch over and over is Modern Family. This has been my go-to show for a while whenever I need a lighthearted show that doesn’t require my full attention. I don’t usually enjoy rewatching shows but no matter how many times I rewatch the episodes of this show they never fail to make me laugh.
What do you like to do outside of work? I have accumulated a lot of hobbies over the years so there is a very diverse range of things I like to do in my free time. I enjoy working out, painting, embroidery, photography, going on walks with my dog, cooking, and spending time with friends.
What’s one of your favorite things about working on the Novella team? As a member of the Novella team, one of my favorite aspects of working here is the incredibly welcoming and supportive atmosphere. From day one, I felt supported by the team’s encouragement, which has made my transition into my first internship experience role smooth and enjoyable. Even while being remote while at college I never have to hesitate when asking any questions because I know everyone is happy to help.
What purchase, big or small, has been worth every penny?
Investing in my Canon G7X was a game-changer. As someone who loves capturing moments with friends and family, this little camera has become my go-to. Its amazing quality and the ability to connect it to my phone has allowed me to effortlessly document some of my favorite memories from studying abroad in the summer to going out with my friends in college.
Trip you want to go on and why?
Morocco and Greece are trips that have been on my bucket list for a while. Sure, it’s partly because I’ve always wanted to ride a camel across the Sahara Desert, and of course, the chance to relive scenes from my favorite childhood movie “Mamma Mia!”, but mainly because of their beautiful landscapes that I would love to experience and photograph.
What’s your signature fashion look?
My signature fashion look revolves around my jewelry. Over the years, I’ve developed an appreciation for jewelry, investing time and thought into making a collection that reflects my evolving style and personality. Every piece of jewelry I own has sentimental value and holds a story, whether it’s a ring gifted by my parents for my 16th birthday or a matching birthstone ring with my twin sister.
Our team at Novella will be sad to see her leave us, but wishing Lucy the best as she embarks on a new journey this summer. We are so grateful for her valuable contributions to Novella during her time with us!
