I’ve been an intern at Novella for only a semester, but I already feel like I could stay forever. I spent so much time genuinely enjoying being at the office that I truly started to forget I was just a high school senior as soon as I stepped outside. Every single person on the team, even Hugo and Gracie, made me feel welcome. From my first day on, I felt like a valuable team member, and I knew this was an experience I would never forget.
It was a bit of a learning curve in the beginning. Being in high school, I don’t normally get to experience a real business setting every day. The stakes are higher in the real world, and the work you do impacts more than just your grades. The more time I spent working on projects for Novella, the more I knew marketing was the right path for me. I can say for certain now what my major will be in college, and I have Novella to thank for that. As I move onto the end of high school, and to college, I can say for certain that I will take everything I learned with me.
I can thank Novella for teaching me everything I know about marketing and design. I’m lucky enough to say I’ve been an intern at Novella, something not every high school student can stick on their resume. I have enjoyed every single moment spent with this business, especially every moment I spent with the people here. I’m so grateful for all of the experiences I’ve had, and I’m so grateful for everyone at this company. I couldn’t have asked for a better first internship.
