Your Role
At its core, this is a content creation position — producing written content, video, and on-site photography that brings client brands to life across social media and digital channels. You'll spend the majority of your time creating: shooting on-site content, editing and producing Reels and short-form video, writing copy, and developing social strategies that perform.
Beyond content creation, you'll play a supporting role in the full brand process — sitting in on initial client meetings, contributing to brand strategy development, and working alongside the Client Lead to ensure brand voice and visuals stay cohesive through every piece of content. The Director of Client Engagement directly supervises this role.
We follow a hybrid office work schedule, Tuesday–Thursday in office at Novella (1627 Main Street, KCMO).
About the Team
We're a group of branding nerds, marketing strategy gurus, digital experts, designers, and writers who came together to help clients focus on strategy and grow their business. The Novella Brandhouse team is highly collaborative — each team member brings expertise to the table, and we come together to brainstorm ideas and implement strategies. This position needs to be willing to offer ideas, strategies, and concepts for ad campaigns, brands, and other marketing efforts.
Your Vibe
The ideal candidate has a creative eye and an instinct for what looks good and performs well on social. They know how to find the shot, make a Reel feel on-brand, and write copy that sounds like a real human. They're as comfortable behind a camera as they are in a Google Doc.
Beyond the creative skills, they're highly collaborative with excellent client communication skills — both written and verbal. They enjoy working with clients, have a heart for scaling businesses, and are willing to problem-solve and get inside the ideal customer's mind. They're organized, think steps ahead, and can carry a project from the initial brand strategy all the way through to how it lives on social, email, web, and print.
This is a great role for someone with 2–3 years of marketing experience who is ready to grow in either content creation/implementation or client services at a mid-level position with real growth potential.
