We’re back to feature another Novellaista on Novella Conversations!

What was the first album you bought? Backstreet Boys – Millennium
What TV show or movie have you watched over and over and why? My husband and I rewatch The Office every year. We love the characters and the humor. I think part of rewatching year after year is more of a comfort thing – we know what to expect. I recently read that people will rewatch the same tv shows in an effort to unwind and help with stress, which totally makes sense because when I rewatch The Office it’s like that comfort of hanging out with old friends.
Do you have any unique family traditions? My mom’s side of the family gets together every summer for what we call “Christmas in July.” There are now over 80 of us. We rent cabins in a state park and spend a long weekend together. I love that we still do this because as everyone gets older, it gets harder to get together, but we still all make time for this!
What was one of your most memorable gifts you’ve received? (kid or adult?) When I was a kid, I received a sparkly blue (custom painted by my Dad) Schwinn Yo Scooter for one of my birthdays and it is still to this day my most memorable gift. It had a circle frame near the front tire where I would put my favorite stuffed animal, Simba, and we would cruise around the neighborhood so much that my Dad had to replace the tires a couple of times.
Trip you want to go on: Iceland, Scotland, Switzerland
What’s your favorite place to go within walking distance of the office in the Crossroads? Since my love of food runs deep, these are all food-related.
