The Brandhouse has been buzzing with activity this summer. This year, we were lucky to host four summer interns and the energy and ideas they brought to everything they worked on was incredible.

Meet Grace!

My name is Grace Rogers and I am an incoming junior at the University of Missouri where I am studying Strategic Communications through the Walter Williams School of Journalism. My role at Novella this summer is full-time copywriting, marketing, and social media intern. I fell in love with branding and digital marketing in high school, where I was very involved in the journalism program and various school publications.

At Mizzou, I am a member of Phi Mu, Women in Media, and Young Life College. In my free time I love to read books, watch true crime television, and go thrift shopping with friends. After graduation, I hope to find a job in the digital marketing and branding world!

Meet Lauren!

I have loved being a design intern at Novella so far. It has been a great experience collaborating with the Novella team while also gaining more experience in design and advertising. I am responsible for helping with many of the art-related projects; this includes designing and creating posters, social media posts, collateral materials, and more. Most of the time, I am working in the Adobe Creative Suite to complete my projects. I am grateful I’ve had the opportunity to create for Novella’s clients, and it is cool that they are companies I am familiar with.

Outside of work, I have a few different hobbies. I love to exercise, anything including running, lifting, yoga, hiking. I enjoy painting and drawing. Discovering new music is one of my favorite ways to kill time, and I like a wide variety of genres and artists. I also play the ukulele for fun sometimes. I also enjoy reading; my favorite books are mysteries.

Meet Aidan!

Hi, my name is Aidan and I am an upcoming Junior at Rockhurst High School… GO HAWKLETS. Anyway, I loved my experience at Novella Brandhouse. I had little prior knowledge about Novella’s line of work, but was excited for the opportunity to learn more about this industry. The staff at Novella is just awesome. They treat each other like family, and some are literally family. They are everything you look for in a great company; collaborative, organized, focused, hard-working, and professional. They could easily choose to just make branding for companies but they actually care about their clients; researching and creating content strategies to help their client’s businesses succeed. My passion and experience for debate went perfectly for those tasks.

Additionally, I learned so much about graphic design and copywriting, and also about business and careers. The things I learned at Novella inspire me to want to make my own business, explore these career paths, and look into other opportunities for careers as well.

Most importantly though, I was able to grow as a writer, learn to use my creativity, be apart of a team, and practice so many other habits needed for school and life. I am extremely grateful to Novella and their staff.

Meet Isabel!

Hi, my name is Isabel Shorter and I’m the social media and marketing intern here at Novella. I’m a Senior at DePaul University in Chicago, IL, studying Public Relations, Advertising, and Entrepreneurship. My role this summer is assisting with marketing, social media, and brainstorming brand strategies, as well as learning business tactics from the Novella team. So far, this internship has been an amazing experience in which I’ve had the opportunity to learn the basics of brand strategy and the behind the scenes of running a business. I’ve noticed that each of the employees at Novella Brandhouse has their own special talent that they excerpt within the company – I’m most excited to learn a little bit from each of these individuals, dipping my toe into each specialty. Whether it’s graphic design, web design, writing, marketing, or entrepreneurship, I can’t wait to learn more.

Outside of work, I love to read, write, and collect vintage clothes. I have experience in the fields of marketing, social media marketing, event planning, and advertising. I hope to carry this experience and further practice at Novella with me into the field of Fashion PR, writing for PR, or Fashion Writing.
